Vivienne K. Schleu

Vivienne and her husband, Gary Mathews, founded Alpina Tax & Accounting in 2017, as a result of over 20 years of relationships she had developed with other CPA’s she met while in the financial planning journey of her practice.

In 2017 she formed a new firm to purchase one of those practices, Gerald Pepper, CPA & Associates, and then in 2021, she purchased an additional tax practice from her 20+ year relationship with Saul B. Lipson, of Saul B. Lipson & Co.

An entrepreneur at heart, and a champion of small to medium sized businesses, Vivienne started her own firm in 1991, where she provided consulting services for small businesses and preparing tax returns. In 1994 she became a fully licensed CPA, and was thrilled when in 1995, CPAs were allowed for the first time, to obtain a securities license, which she promptly did, immediately followed by obtaining her insurance licenses.

Having always dreamed of providing full financial services under one roof to all her clients, her career long goal was finally realized as a partnership with her husband when Alpina Tax & Accounting Firm opened in 2017.

Although she leaves the daily operation of the tax practice to Carie Pace and her team, she continues to provide the support and resources needed to better serve the firm’s tax and financial planning, so that clients feel confident about their financial futures. Vivienne still works closely with Jerry Pepper, Saul Lipson and the entire team to make sure all clients receive the best experience possible.

When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends and her two “personality plus” cats.
